The Connection Design Engineer will think outside the box and thrive on innovation. The structural engineer will be responsible for collaborating with others to perform structural engineering tasks and develop structural engineering projects within our construction projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing, analyzing, and creating structural systems based on project specifications, codes and requirements
• Conducting thorough site inspections to assess existing structures and determine feasibility of proposed designs
• Using specialized software to analyze and evaluate structural design options and develop detailed plans
• Conduct structural calculations and analysis using computer software and manual methods
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural elements
• Providing technical guidance and support to construction teams during the implementation phase
• Conducting thorough quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
• Ability to think critically with fresh an innovative ideas and posses the skills to articulate ones ideas
• Design structural systems utilizing combinations of structural steel, steel joists, concrete (reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete)
• Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
• Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
• Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings

Basic Requirements

• Five years' experience in structural steel
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, codes, and standards
• Proficiency in using relevant software, such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, and ETABS
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality work Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
