Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join our team in the construction industry. The Quality Control Assistant will assist the Quality Control Inspector and other team members in ensuring that construction projects meet the highest quality standards. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in quality control practices, with the potential for growth within the company. In the event of a slowdown and no project requiring an assistant, the Quality Control Assistant may be assigned to the field to gain hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Inspections: Support the Quality Control Inspector in conducting routine inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitor Materials: Help verify that all construction materials meet quality standards and are stored properly at the site.
  • Document Non-Compliances: Assist in documenting and reporting any observed defects, non-compliant materials, or workmanship issues.
  • Prepare Testing Equipment: Aid in preparing testing equipment and assisting with field tests, such as concrete strength tests, material sampling, or weld inspections.
  • Support Audits: Help with regular audits and spot checks to verify quality control processes are being followed.
  • Assist in Quality Control Reporting: Support the creation and maintenance of quality control reports and documentation.
  • Maintain Site Cleanliness: Ensure the work area is clean and safe for inspections, organizing tools and materials as needed.
  • Assist with Code Compliance: Help monitor the application of building codes and regulations at the construction site, ensuring all work complies.

  • Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety standards and ability to follow safety procedures on construction sites.
  • Tech-Savvy: Basic computer skills to assist in reporting and documentation tasks.
