Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Planner. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production planning, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient and meet the demands of our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and supply chain, to develop and implement production schedules, monitor inventory levels, and optimize resource allocation. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in production planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and meeting customer demands
  • Monitor inventory levels and work closely with procurement to ensure appropriate materials are available for production
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to understand customer demands and ensure production plans meet those needs
  • Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement, such as reducing waste and increasing productivity
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of production plans, including equipment maintenance and repair
  • Provide regular updates on production status and any potential issues or delays
  • Manage production order changes and communicate any impact on delivery timelines to relevant parties

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as supply chain management or industrial engineering
  • Proven experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address production bottlenecks
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using production planning software and other relevant tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
